About
Hi, I’m Kellie Sandy, a proud Caribbean gyal who was born and raised in the tiny but mighty (& stunning) Cayman Islands.
Growing up, travel came as an organic way to escape the “island fever”. I was blessed to have a family who traveled often and taught me the value of experiences over things.
At 16 years of age, I set off on my own for Swaziland, Southern Africa on a scholarship to finish my final 2 years of high school. Young, wild and free (& broke) and exploring the continent with my new friends who were from all corners of the globe ignited within me a sense of adventure I haven’t managed to calm.
Since then, I have traveled to, studied and worked in nearly 60 countries, including summers busing around Asia or Europe with best friends, or several months of solo travel through South America in between degrees.
I live by the mantra that life’s too short not to do the things you love, and for me this includes traveling as often as I can, immersing myself into new cultures, eating (& drinking) well, and making time to give back when I can. All of these things are even more fulfilling when done alongside my fun, loving, ever laughing Trini husband, Serg Sandy.
